Neighbourhood Plan - Public Consultation

The Stebbing Neighbourhood Plan is complete and has been formally submitted to Uttlesford District Council following a check by the officers of the documents and that it meets the requirements in the legislation.  UDC must now publicise the Neighbourhood Plan for a minimum of 6 weeks, before sending the draft Plan to an independent examiner. Anyone who previously commented on the Regulation 14 draft plan will have the opportunity to make further comments if they wish, which will then be considered by the examiner. A 'Greener Stebbing' Competition

'Greener Stebbing Committee'

Working with you to help Stebbing become more environmentally friendly as we become more aware of the impact our lifestyles have on our planet.

We hope that every resident of the village will want to be a part of this journey, in some way.

Competition

Our first project involves our younger residents.

To Design a logo for 'Greener Stebbing' showing what it means to them to make Stebbing a more sustainable place to live.

Competition: Open to residents aged up to 16 years 

Prizes: For 1^st-3^rd places and Highly Commended

Entries by Friday 27^th August

Winner announced Thursday 9^th September

The winning logo will be used as the 'Greener Stebbing' Symbol

60 New Houses Proposal

The Parish Council would like to draw your attention to the recent application to build 60 houses on land East of Brick Kiln Lane and North of Pound Gate. This site is NOT one that has been included in the Stebbing Neighbourhood Plan that has recently been submitted to Uttlesford District Council.

If you responded to the flyers sent out by the developers some months ago, you will need to respond again as any responses you may have made were to the developer not to UDC. 

If you wish to express your views on this application, there are several ways of doing it, responses need to be received at Uttlesford District Council by 3^rd August 2021.

Stebbing Tractor Run

Following the successful run held recently, we received massive support from the village waving us through. Of the 65 who took part seven were from Stebbing helping to make it a truly village event.

As usual & with the help of a Just Giving page we have raised a staggering £10,500 for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. Thanks to all who contributed.
