The Annual tractor run in aid of the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance by the organisers who due to various issues are unable to do so themselves. The Tractors will arrive in Stebbing at Whitehouse Road via Clay Lane at approximately 2.30 pm. They will then turn right into Watchhouse Road towards the Church, then right into the High Street through to the B1057 Dunmow to Bardfield Road where they will turn right towards Great Bardfield.
Other areas that the tractors will be calling at are - Lower end of Thaxted (Gt Dunmow end of village) where they will turn into the Little Bardfield / Little Sampford Road at approximately 10.45 am, Finchingfield will be at approximately 12.15 pm then over the bridge towards Weathersfield, turning right at the top of the hill towards Walthams Cross and on to Shalford at approximately 1.00 pm. The tractors will be stopping at the Deersbrook Farm shop for their break at approximately 1.30 - 2.00 pm and then on to Stebbing as above.
All timings are approximate so please bear this in mind if you are planning to come and watch.
The Stebbing Spring Litter Pick took place on Saturday 3rd May. 24 volunteers turned-up to help, ranging from 4 years old to 80. In total 25 bags of rubbish were collected from the village and from surrounding lanes and byways.
The latest data from the Traffic Calming Signs (SID), from the B1057 for January and February is available on the web site.
The developers had their application refused by Uttlesford District Council in September 2024 but have now submitted a slightly amended application direct to the Planning Inspectorate. This by-passes Uttlesford District Council but does not mean that the Parish Council and residents cannot have their say.
