Neighbourhood planning is a vital part of the Government's plans to help local communities play a much stronger role in the shaping of their area. For the first time, local people can create a plan that allows them to develop planning policies that reflect the priorities of their area and has real legal weight. 

Stebbing Parish Council commenced their plan in 2016 and was approved by referendum on 23rd June 2022, details of the result below.

534 (97%) votes to approve the plan and 17 (3%) votes against. Turnout was 48%. 

Uttlesford District Council formally adopted the plan on 20th July 2022.
